What a great way to start the New Year. No bleary eyes at Brooklands on the first day of 2012. Owners and enthusiasts of vintage, classic, american cars were not disappointed. There was even a hearse with four silver caskets strategically placed on the roof. It was a fantastic turn out at the historic site. Proud owners displayed their cars and were on hand to chat about the history of their cars to the many spectators and eager photographers. Queues quickly formed when the smell of breakfast cooking wafted through the air and it looked like a lot of bacon and sausage sarnies and burgers were consumed (what else would you eat on New Years Day to stabilise the body). Fabulous day out for the whole family, not just Dad who went to dream about the cars. The museum was open, as was the unique exhibition of Hawker and Vickers BAC-built aircraft and Concorde open for tours. By mid afternoon the rains came and looked set to last for the rest of the day. Luckily the day had started early so people were ready to go home and put their feet up and recoup anyway. All in all a thoroughly brilliant New Years Day. A great start to the year for photoparazzi!
