The 'Double Twelve' derives from the 1930s when 24 hour racing was not allowed at Brooklands. To overcome this cars raced for 12 hours on two consecutive days. The tradition lives on with this annual festival organised by Brooklands Museum in association with The Vintage Sports Car Club.
Over 200 pre-war and post-war cars participated in 2 full days of competitive Motorsport at the Brooklands Double Twelve Motorsport Festival.A stunning star of the festival was Corrado Lopresto's 1942 Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 SS. It was the first visit to the UK for this Villa d'Este Concours and Pebble Beach class-winning car
