Bill Boddy (1913 - 2011) The most knowledgeable and longest-serving working motorsport journalist in the UK . WB made the Guinness Book of Records for longevity of service and contributed to Motor Sport Magazine for 81 years without a break and was the magazine's editor for 55 years. He dictated his last article for Motor Sport just days before his death.WB became the undisputed expert on the world's first racetrack, Brooklands in Weybridge Surrey. In 1946 the circuit was declared an industrial area. WB formed the Brooklands Society thus ensuring the original buildings and surviving parts of the track became listed.He was appointed the MBE in 2007 for services to journalism and made a life member of Guild of Motoring Writers in 2003
