The 24th London to Brighton Classic Car Run started at Brooklands Museum where the cars convened early on Sunday 10th June. The start was very prompt and it was not before the Union Jack flag waived off the first car from the start line at the gate in front of the museum club house. They made their way around the Brooklands site, past Concorde over the little bridge into Mercedes Benz World and headed for the open roads. You can see in the photo below the club house clock reads 8.17 am by which time several of the cars had left for the meander down to Madeira Drive. I am not sure if there is a time element involved of if the achievement is to enjoy the drive and the scenery and to arrive at the destination safely.
